Differences between years of TPI
What are they?
I know that they changed the setup a little in the years from 86-92...
What did they do??
And what are the differences between the 305 TPI and the 350?
Thanks!

Kiz,
There is a pretty good description of the changes in the Tech Articles.
Off the top of my head, the early '85 TPI used a digital MAF and the slower 8-bit processor with MAF adapter module.
'85-'88 TPI used the cold start injector and control mounted at the front of the intake manifold.
'85-'86 used the older style coil-in-cap distributor, whereas the later styles used the separate coil.
'85-'87 used a single electric cooling fan.
'85 - early '87 used the "garbage can" air cleaner housing for the Pontiacs.
1987 and later TPIs (and most other GM V-8s) used a roller lifter and roller cam.
'90-'92 TPI used the speed density control scheme instead of the MAF used from '85-'89.
I'm sure there are other differences, but those are a few.
