hey mike89z, question about crane hi6
i have a crane hi-6s which is supposed to plug right in to the coil on the tpi's, i have an 87 350 tpi, i hook up the ignition and the car doesn't run right, someone told me you had to advance the timing with the crane ignition for it to work, is this true

well the directions say to set the timing again after the install so you should probably try that first. Stock should be 6BTDC with the est wire disconected(single green wire between the passenger strut tower and firewall, just disconnect and start the car, then set timing to 6BTDC). See if that helps.

There is one thing that is kind of tricky about the Crane Ignitions. There is a wire (I believe it is brown) that is to be connected to a timing retard module(for superchargers, turbochargers etc.). If you didn't buy the module then the wire needs to be either grounded or connected to a 12v source. Carfully read through the entire instruction manual and you will find what I am talking about.
