ingnition module keeps goin out!! ned help fast!

i got a 89 iroc sittin in my yard that im workin on n i bought a ignition module 2 times already! what can the problem be? motor is a 305 tpi. n e help?

Next time it goes out, try just unplugging the two connectors from the back of it for a few minutes first. I bet you'll find that it will work again once you plug them back in. I'm having a similar problem with my GTA, but I still haven't found the root source of the problem yet though.

At least if my little trick works it'll save you some cash.

i tryed everything, i even bought a new distriburator,cap alll that ****, im guessin its time for a new wiring system

I went threw 2 napa crapa in 5 months so i just went with an accel module. no problems I would never buy a sensor or anything from napa pep boyz they sell cheap versions of what the factory put in our cars.

You may have a bad pickup coil in the distributor that is causing the modules to go south. The coil is below the reluctor ring.
