Valves and pushrods
If I got valves that were +.100, and locks that were +.050, and shims that are .030 thick, do I need longer pushrods? I am using the above parts to get 1.79 installed height. Before I put this together, I want to make sure I don't need custom length pushrods.

Yes, since the longer valves have thrown off your valvetrain geometry. Some companies like CompCams have a pushrod length checker (technical term)
to determine what length they should be to make sure the rocker arm travel is centered over the valve stem.
