TPI 350, idling problem, need help, Please!
I have a 5.7 TPI in my 87 GTA. It was a 305, and is now a 350, 5 speed. WHen i slow down at red lights the car idles real low and sometimes recovers or just stalls. It idles high when you start it, once in a while, every few months it will not idle at all when you start it, then about 10 minutes later it will idle again, When this happens code 34 comes up. but when it idles by itself like 10 mintues later, no check engine light comes on. The MAF sensor is new and so is the idle motor (the thing with the spring and the little cone end, near the TPS sensor) and the TPS sensor was tested and i was told it is fine. Any help would be much appreciated!

I'd start by replacing the MAF relays: both the power and the burn-off relays. They're cheap and good insurance to make sure neither of them are causing problems. I had an intermittent Code 34 a few years ago, and replacing the MAF power relay took care of it. BTW, which chip are you using for your 350? I hope not the stock 305 chip. The fuel and spark tables are quite different, although not enough to cause this problem.

I replaced both of those relys, i think, i had a problem figuring out which ones they where. I'm not sure what chip is being used, i'm ordering a new one so i haven't checked yet. What relys are near the MAF sensor, where the harness plugs in near the passengerside headlight? The relys i replaced are on the firewall, on the drivers side, but there was i think 4, i replaced 2. How can i tell which are the MAF relys?
