ZZ3 block with Fast burn heads????
Is this a possible combination? From what i understand they are probably one of the best heads out there. Anyone using them?

Those heads will bolt up with no problems to the block. Your intake will be another story, Fastburn heads are Vortec style.

there is enough room to port an edelbrock base to match the higher ports of the fastburn heads however you will have to drill new holes for the bolt pattern to match
Holley is supposed to have a EFI intake for Vortec type heads: L31(Vortec 350), L30 (Vortec 305), Fast Burns, and Edelbrock E-tecs. I put the PN into www.summitracing.com and it came out $435.69 for the bare intake.

Uhm... Fast Burn heads have both bolt patterns cast into them. They will bolt up. However the intake port shape is different, like was discussed above.

So if i port the edelbrock tpi base to fit the fast burns' different port size it will bolt up no problem. Would that be a hard job for a machine shop to match the port size?

The tops of the runners extend beyond the tpi intake casting.
This would aluminum fill welding the intake and seriously grinding the ports upward. It could be done, but for a machine shop... Expect to pay alot!
