gotta 91 305 tpi w/ the 5 speed ..

blew a head gasket two days ago and started tearing it down today ..

i cant believe this motor even ran ..

pulled the dist. cap .. 1/2" of rust sittin in it .. all the points rusted, and the ignition module looked like it had been to hell and back ..

pulled the valve covers .. atleast 3/4" of sludge around all the rockers ..

and two of the coolant temp sensors were snapped off ..

im going to pull the motor tommorow .. and fully rebuild it .. then put a edelbrock cam in it .. new distributor, 8mm wires, e3 sparkplugs, gear driven timing belt, and some other stuff ..

this car went fast when i drove it .. and im waiting to see how many horses i gain from a rebuild and cleaning it up ..

 

I would search the forum. There are better cams out there than Edelbrock.
