305 TPI into a Chevy Astro? Will it work?

I am considering squeezing a 305 TPI engine into a Chevy Astro. My main concern is the VATS anti-theft system. I have done some research and found out that the computer is dead and engine won't start if there isn't the resistor in the ignition key. It has to bypassed somehow. Has anyone ever thrown a TPI engine into another vehicle? I know Chevy engines pretty well, but I'm kind of scared here. (P.S.- the reason for my madness is a love for Chevy power and my love for my wife and 6 kids.)

The vats can be disabled in the prom. Go to the prom board and read the article on burning proms. It's real easy to do just a matter of switching it off.

I think transplanting a TPI into any vehicle is a good idea.

Go to www.jagsthatrun.com and order their book. It covers Astro van and s10 swaps. I would not even considering doing a swap without it.

Theres a guy that used to frequent the boards named ZZ3Astro. The name said it all. I think he was runnin low 15s high 14s with his Astro. I think his sig had a picture of him sideways doing a massive burnout.

Personally, I think a 350, and better yet, a 406 fits better.
