Idle PROBLEMS + stalling
Ok I am baffled at idle the car is like a roller coaster. the idle goes up and down drastically somtimes enough to stall the car + when crusing in a gear and I am geting ready to stop I put it in neutral and it falls on its face about 50% of the time. This is getting VERY embrassing and i need to get it fixed I have pretty much rounded it down to the IAC motor (i dont think so becuase the idle is screwed even when I unplug it) TPS sensor, MAP sensor, or ignition module. and how do I test them??
Thanks for the help.

You are on the right track....i am having the same exact symptoms....unfortunetly, i do not know how to test them, but i wanted to tell you to not rule out the EGR valve. Thats the first thing i will be looking at in the comming weeks, along with everything else you mentioned...good luck, and post what you find.

are you getting any ses codes?
check the faq or tech articles on how to test tps sensor
pull out the ignition module from the distributor and get it tested at local parts store
not sure how to test map sensor since i have maf
egr valve stuck open could hurt it, but i doubt that is it

I had that prob and it was the o2 sensor. It had worked it's way out of the exaust and was just hanging there. This was on my truck that I stuck a TPI 350 in.
