oil pressure sending unit
would someone please tell me where the oil pressure sending unit for the guage is located on the engine????????

Engine: 305 TPI going to LT1
Transmission: 5spd
its at the back of the engine between the intake and the distrubitor.
at least on my 87 305 it is i would think it would be in the same place on yours

its not on top of the block like most. i believe its down by the oil filter but it has like 2 or 3 wires coming off of it. can anybody tell me this is true?

If you have a guage, the connector is a single prong, and the pressure unit is two inches round by 3 inches long; if you have an idiot light the connector is a three-prong, and the pressure unit is one inch by two inches. Either way, it mounts parallel to the ground, with the threads facing the distributor, underneath it.

The one that has been discribed previously, is the one on earlier models. Yours is incorporated in with the fuel pump pressure switch located just above the oil filter, it is a three wire plug (oil guage wire is the tan one).
