Timing setting with aftermarket PROM

I have a TPIS stage 3 PROM. I have the timing set currently at stock 6* adv.

I also have my T.P.S. set at .54 volts. I know I could go higher, but will it put me into knock retard?

I use only premium fuel (92-94 octane).

Can I set the timing or TPS any further without slowing down?

you should be able to advance it to about 8 to 12* btdc, and could probably set the tps to about .60-.61

Aftermarket chips are notorious for having the initial advance bumped already. I would leave your base timing at 6* (set with the ESC unplugged), because once the chip comes into play, it is probably already at 12*... I would also investigate burning your own proms....for what TPIS gets for burning a prom, you could have all the equipment to do your own, and then some.

You are better off playing with your initial timing timing at the track. Start at 4* and go higher until you slow down.
