I sold my GTA and bought me a 2001 Saturn SL. Jonh from Austin bought it for $1500, and that was including my brand new never used subframe connectors and AC delete pulley, Moroso tranny cooler and Hayde cooling fan.
The Saturn is a 4 door sedan with a 1.9L engine and an amazing 100HP and 114LBS/FT of torque. I know it sucks, but it is brand new and from what I hear, very reliable.....and you can't beat the 29/40 MPG......well, for the first time ever i have a 5 speed tranny.

It's been nice sharing ideas as well as curses with you all.

You're still welcome - we KNOW it's in your blood. I could tell because the first thing you said about the Saturn was the HP and torque ratings. Just remember, those waves you see from ThirdGen drivers as they pass aren't an insult but are only reminding you that we're still number ONE.

FWIW, my sister in-law has a '92 SL-whatever with about eleventy-seven jillion miles on it and has had no significant problems. It's been a pretty good winter car for her as well. Keep an eye on oil level and quality and it will be faithful (in other words, switch to synthetic at the first change).

Damn Rick, after the tranny & throttle body incidents? I understand though, my GTA is killing me in gas too. The TB arrived intact, by the way. Thanks for the trade. Once the upgrades are done I'll rub it in...ahem...share the experience so you can still live vicariously!!

hey my sister sells saturn here in davenport at Saturn of the Quad Cities. i should go buy me one of those!
wait no if i had to buy a new car, it would be a mazda wagon thingy, i work in the PREP dept of LUJACKS, biggest lot in quad cities, and i get to drive almost all the cars, and mazda came out with this new wagon sport thang, and its bad A$$. but its an import but the gas mileage was like 32 and it had a 5 spd. so its all good,

j/k.....have you tried the new TB yet? you like it?.
Vader.....yes I am gonna miss that car and in fact I already do.....but then again, in the future once I settle down a little and make more rank...hehe....I can buy me a T/A or Z28 or a formula....but it would have to be a 4th gen though......just for the fact that they come with the 6 speed tranny. I always like 3rd gens and always will, but I hate the stupid 700R4.
I'll be checking you guys every now and then......I'm sure somebody can use some of my experiances with my ex GTA (after all, it did run a best of 13.39 with bone stock heads).....ahhhh, that feels good
