its just a heads and intake kit. it includes all the gaskets and hardware to install. there are not runners in this kit.

Ya. I just wanted to make sure that this was the combo that a lot of people have been talking about on the forums. I searched around for a good set of heads to get me in the region of 350hp with my current setup. The whole intake would then be aftermarket and ported. So i was just making sure that this is a smart choice to get what I need done.

I got the vortec heads that are in the kit. They look well machined. Positive seals, different springs, good retainers and screw in studs. Only problem I have is they are dirty.........gritty. Need a totall wash down. No way I'd put them on my motor the way they are. Overall a really good deal. Shipping was extremely fast.
The kit seems expensive. The heads were $680 shipped, and the intake is $400 most places. Intake manifold bolts were $15. I don't remember the cost of the gaskets, but it wasn't that much at all.
I'm going with Keith Black KB193 D-dish pistons for around a 9.3-1 to a 9.6-1 comp ratio depending on deck height and gasket thickness. These are the only pistons I've found for a reasonable price in a D-dish configuration. They are $31.25 at Scoggins/Dickey.
