I just installed my 383 with stock 19lbs injectors & non adj fuel pres regulator. I wanted it to start up & run so I could move the car around in my yard (summer cook outs, etc.) if i needed to. The very first time i started the car i noticed it would not stay running with the stock fuel press reg's (fpr) vacumn line conected factory set at 35. When I disconnected the vacumn line (fuel pressure went up to45) the motor started up & ran just fine. I dont have the money for new injectors so my question is can the 305's 19lbs injectors be made to work with the 383 with about 60lbs of fuel pressure or will that high fuel pres be to much for it. I have the 255ltr walpro fuel pump installed already so fuel starvation should be no problem. Who makes a afpr that allows the pressure to be adjusted to 60lbs? My cam is a new comp cam xtreme

Any AFPR will work, however, the max pressure is limited by what you fuel pump will put out...and remember...the higher the pressure, the shorter your fuel pump life, unless you get an hefty aftermarket unit. I would not run 19's that high. You could cause your injectors not to function with a pressure that is too high. Save yourself some trouble and get some SVO 24# injectors.

Can my car be driven with the 305 injectors or will it mess the motor up if i cruz around? I want to drive my car bad!

You wont get enough fuel for a 383, stock injectors can handle a 10% increase in CId if you run it long with 19# injectors, oyu can run too lean and burn holes in your piston tops. Get accel injectors, dont bother with SVO crap, its a ford product! besides, Gm runs at a differnt impedence for our injectors, youwould need a special prom to run SVOs "PROPERLY" it will run, but ****ty. Get sccel injectors the nuext step up from 22# perhaps a 24#. You should look into getting a special prom for your 383, not necessary but reccomended.
