Does anybody here know if a TPI Air cleaner assembly with the two square filters will fit in a 1986 pontiac firebird. I know there are small differences, but for my motor swap, I hope this will work..

 

the core support panel there is quite different, so you'd have to modify tremendously, if the hood even allowed it to fit.

the firebird hood sits lower than the camaro hood does so you would have to modify the under side of the hood to make this work(that's if it would work at all).you would allso have to cut alot of metal out of the core support.

NO, since the hood is less than a 1/4 of an inch from the core support on a Firebird, there is NO way, if you are going to stay with the stock hood.
