350 TPI or 350 carborated????Need help

What is better a 350 TPI engine or a 350 carborated engine. Right now my TA has a 350 carborated...I was told it was a 350 4 bolt main. It has a holley carborator and a lot of eldebrock parts. Am I better off with an '87 or '88 TA with a 350 TPI engine, or should I just keep the '83 with the 350 carborated? My car looks exactly like an '87...so I dont care about the looks of the newer cars(since my car has exterior mods done to it), but I care about the engine. Which one will perform better? Which one am I better off having? This is my first car, but am not sure if I want a TPI or not. Thanks.

Carberators are easier to work on but I prefer the tpi set up, I get a better responce out of them and this is my opinion out of millions out there so the choice is yours.

Stay with the TPI. I am tired of looking at 350s with Holley carbs and Edelbrock manifolds.

Does spelling count on this site?

i am stuck with same dilema myself.i love the tpi,but i would like to have a wider rpm range to work with.the carb is cheaper and easier to work on,but the FI seems to be in now.what can you do to a stock tpi unit to wake it up,and get more rpm out of it?

well i believe the first thing or two that you would want to do is port out the plenum/runners/intake a little bit and maybe get an afpr, this is supposed to give some nice responses, but dont take my word for it just yet as my car is still carbed as of now. i picked up a tpi setup last week, and hope to have everything set up to go in next spring! should be interesting...
