is the superram worth it?

How much hp and torque could i expect if i installed a superram on my stock L98...i was thinking of either getting that or a supercharger since they both cost about the same amount. Which would you recommend?

definatly go with the supercharger the intake has less bearing on an engine that is boosted when compared to changing the intake on a n/a motor

Around the same price? Doesn't a superram cost around 1200 and a supercharger (a good one at least) cost 3000? If not, let me know :0)

I agree w/ 89IROC I foud the following:
Base= $460- 74197 LPE
Plunum & runners= $760- 310-74196 JEG'S
And a 58mm TB From BBK for $310 Smmit

These parts are all brand new and will cost about $1,530.00. I'm about to buy this myself but am still shopping for used parts.

One more thing I forgot to ask, Is car computer controled now or is it carberated?

I'd suggest checking out Pace Parts for the Edelbrock base -- it's much cheaper.

And do you really need a 58mm TB? Unless you're pushing a LOT of power, IMHO a 52mm TB will do you just fine and can be had for a lot cheaper -- you can even have yours modified.

Nitous is even cheaper, i think i would go with a paxton type supercharger though.

the superram i was looking at included everyone above the heads... new computer, wiring harness, fuel rails, injectors, along with all the sensors, and the plenum, runners, and lower intake, with a 1000 cfm tb. It was like 3000 grand total i think.

that's the conversion package for a carbed motor switching to efi for one f you have tpi already don't bother you'll spend a lot more for somebody to program that crap and as far as power potential you are not gonna see much from a superram on a stock motor
