Dirt cheap Vortec intake base
Just got linked to this from another board. Definitely a good deal for someone looking to go to vortec heads, and it looks like there's only 2 left.

Well, it was a sale price for a couple days then went back up to $521. It was less than $300 for a few days. Why can't they just sell them for the lower price ALL the time?

Re: Dirt cheap Vortec intake base
got mine at summit about a month ago for my 305 tpi
did a complete rebuild and put in a comp cam, trick flow vortec heads, that manifold, taylor 8mm wires, msd cap / rotor, flat top aluminum pistons ..
and therer more ..
but it is a really nice manifold .. i think i paid $400 something for it .. but the stock thermostat housing doesnt fit (unless you grind about 1/16" off one side) .. and there is a hole next to the distributor bolt hole that was used on corvettes as a breather / steam tube to get rid of excess heat in the rear of the block ..
i didnt know that when i built the motor .. so i just put a bolt in it .. and this manifold uses an "external egr supply" instead of internal ..
but other than that .. i like it ..
oh .. and the scoggin dickey / edelbrock intakes are EXACTLY the same .. if you dont believe me .. buy a edelbrock and look what name is on the bottom .. lol ..
