Strang eidle and tach gone bad.....
Strang eidle and tach gone bad.....
My car was fine and then I started it to set the timing. After I set the timing on my 383 to 10 degrees advance I turned the car off and went for a ride. Now the tach doesnt work, the temp switch works when it wants to and the car FEELS like its shifting 3-4 times up and down when it's in overdrive. It kinda feels like it's accelerating, than not accelerating. My headlights flicker when it's in high beam mode and my NOS just stopped working. The car is fast very fast but I can seriously feel it has more to offer. Please help me out here....

But seriously, did you plug everything back in? It sounds like your distributor connections aren't right. Is your distributor loose?
lol.....thats why it only runnin mid 12's? lol....
Anyway I checked the distributer and it is tight as well as the connectors. I'll double check but I' pretty sure its fine. I have a 1991 Z28 if that helps any

I was just thinking that since your tach isn't working, the connection to the distributor is probably messed up. That is a pretty good sign actually. Definately check that one out, it can be tough to spot back there.
