Removing the schrader valves core

I need to remove the core of the schrader valve to make it an open fitting. Is this easy? Do I need any special tools? Any info on this you can give me will be much appreciated.

Removing the valve is as simple as unscrewing it. You will need something that can reach in and grab both sides of the valve. and turn him out. I have used needle nose pliers in the past, but, some of the valve stem caps have a built in removal tool... (especially on bicycles.)

Make sure you bleed of the pressure before removing the valve please.

Just go to the auto parts store and get a valve core removing tool. Costs probably $3. Takes 2 seconds to do.

I've been searching to find the guy who wrote that. All I remember is just seeing the quote and thinking it was the greatest thing I've ever heard. Please tell me who the author is because I am more than willing to give him credit.

Found it.

Please bow your heads...

The 23rd Psalm of the F-body:

The F-body Is my Shepherd,
I Shall Not Want.
It maketh me burnout on black pavements,
It leadeth me beside busy freeways.
It restoreth my soul.
It leads me in the path of quickness,
For its name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of rice,
I shall fear no turbo, for Torque art with me.
Thy rod and Thy piston, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a track before me.
In the presence of mine enemies,
Thou hast anointed my bearings with oil.
My car overpowers.
Surely traction and victory shall follow me
all the days of my life.
And I shall dwell in the house of the V8 forever.
Amen.

Amen to that. A masterpiece of F-body pride. There should be a special page for that. Cullan Hooley, I salute you.
