Anyone see the new CHP?
Has anyone seen that LTR setup running 111 plus mph with a 355 in the latest Chevy Hi Po? Doesn't that car seem really fast for the mods? I mean GMHTP's car only goes 103 with similar stuff. What gives?

That picture and set-up of that car are old.
The car has gone atleast low 11 by now, with some more radical mods like cam + miniram.
I think they stuck that in there because that car was a good example of an emissions legal TPI in its day - I think early 90s.

I think RW is right. They circulate these stories over and over and between one of the sister publications to the other,, changing a little here or there. That build up looks like the Hard Rock build up under articles here on this site also by Dave Emmanuel, same exact set up,, except different people mentioned for the engine build,, and different contact folks for CNC cylinder head. I have another old article "Mean Clean",, I think that's the title,, where the HP chart posted in it was near identical to the Hard Rock's HP chart, one HP off here,, the same there, 2 off here,, the same there. Kinda funny,, it was also done by Dave Emmanuel,, but it was supposedly an RHS engine, using the stock "profiled" TPiS cam and AFR heads. I've had enough dyno experience to know that's a little too conincidental,, in my opinion.
