AFPR & large injectors: how do you decrease fuel pressure?

OK, i know this sounds like a stupid question, but here's my problem. Even if I completely back out my bolt (on the AFPR), I believe the fuel pressure is right around stock.

The reason is because the housing for the adjustable unit is similar to the stock housing. And putting in that "quarter" only compresses the spring a little more, so how can you achieve less than stock fuel pressure?

I'm just thinking about it, and I can't picture how you'd do it.

I ask, b/c I may need some new injectors and I'd like to go with a set of SVO 24#'ers, but I would probably need low pressure to compensate. Am I wrong?

engine related mods are few:
AFPR
slp PROM
K&N's
air foil
ported plenum
no cat (straight pipe)
cat-back exhaust

You'd have to carefully bend the 'hat' so that the spring will have less tension when compressed. Basically it's impossible unless you are very good.
In other words, start burning your own chips if you want to go crazy with injectors and tuning, makes it much easier and effective.

You can get a Holley adjustable fuel presure regulator, with it you can increase or decrease the pressure. It is adjustable from 35-65 PSI.
