I have recently decided I'm gonna go with Canfield heads for my 327 miniram project. I found these heads on Ebay, but the only problem is that he says they are for non lt1 cars through 86 only. Why would this be so. Also, since they are as cast, how much work would it be for a machine shop to get them ready to bolt on if i supply all the valvetrain equipment. Thanks.

I'd assume he means they have the older intake bolt style, as oppsed to the post-'86 style...not sure how the MR is configured, but should be able to modify it to fit I'd think.

AS far as cost, that'd depend on several things and could only be accurately estimated after the shop looked at them.

 

i believe the mini ram is has a dual pattern so it will bolt up to both head designs. a 327 mini ram is a pretty good idea.
