Cam question

I have my LB9 disassabled down to everything but the rotating assembly and I want swap cams. I want to use the Crane Cams Powermax 272/284* .454/.480. Can I use this cam with my stock heads. I ported the heads with some carbide bids or atleast removed the casting marks and smoothed it up.

I want to order my parts soon, so if anyone can help that'd be great. Thanks Josh

Re: Cam question

i forgot if .460 or .480 is max lift a stock head can take but look into that before you just toss in a cam.

Re: Cam question

that cam should work fine with the proper springs. may just need a shim kit.

Re: Cam question

I seems to me that you are looking at a non-roller cam. If you have a 1988 LB9, you need to use a roller cam.
