problems with expensive driveway ornament

The TPI 350 (s.d.) in my 82 Trans am has recently refused to turn over. It will crank fine and smoothly. It is getting good spark, as far as i can tell, i just stuck a screwdriver in the plug wires and checked for a spark to the engine block. I checked out the fuel pressure today and it was right at 44 psi. The ignition setup is new as of 8 months (?) ago when the engine was put in. Im getting a noid light tomorrow to check out all the injectors. I think i have ruled out the most common causes for this. Any other suggestions as to what may be wrong? THanks

all i can think of is, injectors, and maybe check the Ignition Moduel, my friends 2.8L kinda had spark some of the time, it wasn't a good spark though, but he was getting spark, and fuel, but we still had to end up getting him a new ignition modual, and it worked fine.

it sounds like the problem i had with my bird.it would crank and crank but it wouldn't turn over.i first thought it was the fuel pump.it ended up being the coil.i put a different one on and it fired right up.

You must be on the right path...if you have good fuel pressure and spark, you may have an issue with the injectors not opening.

Do they have voltage on them? If not, check the fuses...assuming you wired in the INJ1 and INJ2 fuses. You maight be able to see the pulse to ground with a good DVM/DMM, not sure.

Ok, I just checked each bank of injectors with a noid light. Both looked like they were ok. Might try a new coil later on today. Anything else i could check? also, if i was planning on an electronic ignition in the future, would now be a good time to do it? I was thinking along the lines of one of the MSD boxes.
THanks

New update: the ignition system was the problem, but the wires were getting spark, it was just stopping at the plugs. Apparently the set i put in around a month ago was already fouled. My first idea is that this engine needs new rings. The valve seals were replaced recently. I got some new plugs and the car runs like a dream. What are your thoughts on this? Is it worth it to replace them? I can get a 400 small block from a guy i know for about $150 and im just assuming it would need a rebuild.
