So just trying to get the 383 to idle and run OK. Seem to be fighting a really rich condition, and you have to hold the TB open to get it to idle. Seems to run better if you create a vac. leak by unplugging a hose.

It's a 383 with Dart heads, 234/244 intake/exh duration at 0.050", 730 ECM with fastchip PROM, 30LB injectors, SLP runners, ported upper, 52MM TB, MSD dist, headers. Everything is new, wiring, sensors, etc.

Engine seems really really rich. Had to change the oil due to the gas in it.

Seems like I am missing something simple.

Ideas?
Mark.
PS. Sorry if I forgot any details.

Did you tell Ed Wright what the car was doing and did he burn a chip for your current mods? You need to log some data to see what the car is really telling you, do you have a scanner or laptop/cable?

We gave Ed all the details on the motor. So the next steps seem to be a data log. I'll have to dig up my old software and cable and see if I can get it to work again. It's been a while.
