Hydrocarbon emmisions help!!

Ok heres the story, i took my car for inspection and the only part of the emmisions test that it failed was the :
HC ppm reading at idle which was 338 and the limit allowed was 220 .

does anyone know how i can get this reading down? i am going to change the plugs and all my other ignition components are new so they are not likely the problem, any tips or tricks to get this number down to an acceptable level? even if its only gonna last long enough to pass the test, cause thats all i really need to do. thanks in advance

Have you changed the PCV valve lately? Try cleaning out your throttle body with a spray TB cleaner.

Retard your timing about 4 degrees, this will bring your HC down.
