Idle and Injectors
Idle and Injectors
Two questions for you Gurus out there. (i always use the search feature for my questions before posting and sometimes i can't find the answer i need. Also some threads just need to be updated)
Question 1: I have a 383 TPI motor with new cam. How do i Know where the car needs to Idle? I understand how stock motors idle but this is not stock. I do use Tuner Pro RT so are there numbers i need to be looking at?
Question 2: I have 30lb rochester high impedence injectors and am running richer than bill gates. I know only because of the smell and the black plugs i pulled. Using Tuner Pro is there numbers or something i need to look at? Are the injectors too big? the pressure is set at 47psi. I am wanting to get 400 plus horses.

Re: Idle and Injectors
Question nr 2: you need to adjust the injectorsize in your prom...
Did you have it tuned for your setup ? its a must when you've changed the engine that much...
You idle maybe will be good around ~800rpm ? try some different rpms out and see where it idles the smoothest..

Re: Idle and Injectors
Well 24# is not going to work for 30# injectors. I'd defintely get that fixed first.
