You may find it cheaper, check the prom board and see if theres any posts in the archive about where to get it, I think there are some posts.
I'm looking at the Ease program, its about the same price but windows based. The website is www.obd2.com
Theres also freebies/make your own cable but I had no luck on that route. Maybe you'd be luckier than me. The prom board has at least one link there to a place to get premade cables from, and theres programs on that site as well.
