Edlebrock runners and ported plenun
I can get a set of Edlebrock high flo tpi runners for about 175.00,if I port my plenum and add these runners, could I expect much noticeable improvement.I have a 88 iroc with 5.7.,flowmaster exhaust,k&n filter.Would I be better off to spend my money on headers? Thanks

For that price, I'd get them and save up for the headers. You can even clean up the insides of the runners by smoothing them with a Dremel tool and some sanding rolls/drum. You might pick up 1-2 mph and 2-3 tenths in the 1/4-mile, even more once you have headers.

youd have some gain, but you going to have
to work on the manifold pretty good. a port
match is fine, but the flow is still the same.
a lot of metal had gotta come out to make the
stocker equal one of the aftermarket ones.
some have said all the work, time and bits
maybe the aftermarket manifold is a better
way to go. the aftermarkets are cast with a
larger runner cross section. to equal that
youll have some heavy grinding sessions to
work on.
as a matter of fact there are a couple of
porters around, they can tell you if the time
is worth it. port matching is one thing, port
shaping is 5 things.
