Re: stock pressure 305 tpi 43-44psi?

Ive been reading old posts from the search engine. still see only psi answers with the vacuum line off or just vacuum line on or high 30's mid 40's

just seems i cant get a clear answer across the board.

i can try teh dealership for answers, cant find anythign in my chiltons manual at the moment

jsut wondering if soemone isn't tired of answering this question can once and for all put this question to rest

My TPI setup originally came from a 1986 305 Camaro. The stock GM regulator is still set at 46 psi with the engine running and the vacuum hose disconnected.

Engine running, vacuum line DISCONNECTED. With it CONNECTED, it runs at about 38 psi. THe number with it connected will vary depending on how much vacuum your engine is making. The higher the vacuum, the lower the fuel pressure will be and vice versa. Its really only important that it drops when the vacuum is applied to it.

Re: stock pressure 305 tpi 43-44psi?

if you have high fuel pressure like lets say youre afpr is adjusted as low as it could go and you cant get it lower than 45-48 when it should be able to go way lower

could an air/vacuum leak be the cause of keeping your fuel pressure high?
