I'm Stumped
hey guys, i'm running an HSR with a custom prom with disabled security. I have fuel at the rail, and spark, but no fuel is making into the cylinders. i was running about 3200rpm in third, shifted to 4th for 30 seconds at 1800 rpm, pushed in the clutch, as i came to a stop the engine dies very softly, i barely even noticed. tried to restart, got a couple fires, now nothing, i pulled spark plugs and cranked it, no fuel is making it past the injectors, and no wires have been burned through. like i said earlyer, the security has been bipassed, but now when i crank it the security light comes on, which it never used to do. i 'm stumped and hop[e you guys can shed some light. thanks, alex

have you checked to see if any fuses are bad or if you are getting any power to the connectors for the fuel injectors?

all fuses are good, how would i check the power to the injectors? i'm pretty sure the injectors arent firing and thats whats causing the problem, the security light came on which makes me think vats, but it was disabled in the custom prom chip. is it even possible for the vats to re-acivate itself?

ok i just bypassed the vats module, so the car turns over and i can smell fuel so i know its not fuel related anymore. i checked distributer cap and the coil they are in working order. the security light is still on, and when i conect the vats module back up it wont turn over. although vats was disabled in the prom chip? this is still happening.
. early this week im gonna get a new chip burned and see if the old one was corrupted

ok no spark is coming out of the coil, so my problem is either before the coil or the coil itself, but a coil wouldnt just go bad instantly would it?

If I'm not mistaken a failed VATS module can still cause a no strart condition.
Also chips/memcals/ecms can go bas as well. See if u can swap out with someone near you if u don;t find anything
