fuel flow problem

fuel flow problem

ok i hear the pump but i show no pressure
can the rubber fuel line from the tank collapse internally and cause a blockage similer to the brakes

any suggestions appreciated thanks

Mean,

While anything is possible, it isn't very likely. It would be more likely that the pickup screen in the tank is clogged, the pump has become dislodged, the fuel filter is plugged, of the pump is failing.

Can you remove the fuel filter and test for flow to the filter? That would be a good starting point.

Axle/Gears: 9 bolt - 2.77
I had that problem before. You can hear the fuel pump run, but it had no pressure. Mine turned out to be the fuel pump itself bad. Had something to do on the inside of the pump. All I did was put in a new fuel pump and that fixed the problem. One thing I would recommend, is to go to the dealer and get an acdelco pump. You might spend a little bit more for it, but it will be better in the long run. My bad fuel pump was an aftermarket pump. "JUNK" Hope this helps.
