Aluminum Plenum Extension??
Hey everyone.... Does anyone know what year Corvette had the aluminum plenum extension, opposed to the plastic one? Even better, does someone know the part number?

that helps a lot!!!! I'll probably order one tomorrow after I pay for my excessive noise tocket I got just now with my winer beater (1988 Grand Am Quad 4 5 Speed)... oh well.. I was racing a Honda by the way.. hehe

I sent my plastic piece to work with a friend of mine who works in an aluminum foundry and had him make me one in his spart time. it turned out beutiful and only cost me a 12 pack of beer. if I had it to do over again I would have found a bowtie logo for him to put on the side of it.

Got my plenum extension.... Also picked up a spare one. Cost me $26.50 Canadian from the dealer. The screws were expensive.. like 4bux a piece.

Mid America (corvette catalog) has them listed for $19.99 including fasteners. THey don't say wether they are metal though, but I would assume so. Best price I have seen for a new one. See for yourself www.madirect.com PN# 609-703.
