Home done Raming
Hi guys, I have been reading the messageboards for sometime now and I have a question. I was wondering if any of you have made a ram air system for your car? I read about the one on the tech pages and it sounds good to me, but I want to know more, like the pros and cons of doing this. Thanks.

Welcome aboard!
A lot of us have done this mod with the fog lights. Basically you just remove the plastic behind the fog lights then route some tubing or piping in about a 90 degree bend from behind the fog light up into the air filters. I did this when I did other mods, so I don't know how much it helped. As far as pros, I would guess that it may give you colder air and help with breathing at higher rpms, when air is forced in. Cons may be, if you live in a wet area, it may suck up water or dirty your air filters more. I've heard of engines running warmer after this mod, since air that is normally pushed into the radiator and condenser are now diverted away.
Hope that helped, if you have any other questions feel free to ask away. People are very helpful around here.
