car dies at top end of track EVERYTIME..
ok so when i make a pass i get to the top end of the track and the car dies. usually happens around 90 mph at about 3500-4500 rpms (havent looked down to check yet). we were able to duplicate it by revving up to 4500 and then the engine just dies. when you go to start the car again it runs very rich for a second which tells me it is losing spark but not fuel. checked the coil and it is checking out fine. tried replacing the map sensor to no avail. any suggestions? also car is a 92 Z28 with a 350..

A scantool will make troubleshooting much easier, so you can see what's going on as well as posting a data capture for people to analyze and help diagnose.
Also, you might connect a fuel pressure gauge and duct-tape the head to your windshield so you can see it while driving. If your pump or regulator are dying, you'll see pressure drop big-time just before the engine dies.

Check your Throttle Position Sensor voltage at wide open throttle. My car had the exact same problem, and it ended up being a bad computer. The TPS was only seeing 1.4 Volts.

Is your motor heavily modified?
Sounds like you could have too much power, but a lot of back pressure in the form of restrictive exhaust manifolds/pipes.
Or maybe your just getting too much fuel and flooding out...any black smoke coming out of tailpipes?
Just a thought.
