what kind of problems am i going to come across with this wiring harness and ecm?
vss,vats,speedo?

Did you pull it out of the car or did you buy it?

Was the harness for a firbird or camaro?
If itw as for a firebird, you're gonna have to relocate the battery to the other side.
(yeah, believe it or not)

It shouldn't be bad I mean. There is really only one of each type of connector.

Ahhhh HorseShiznit

well the problem i'm having is i have no power going to the starter from the ign.switch also when i turn the key i have no power going to the fuel pump.

so am i going to have to put in a different under dash harness?

You should have a dark blue wire going from the VATS module, to pin L on the IP connector, to B6 on the ECM.

What harness did you change? Sounds like you only got the engine half of the harness, and then tried to plug the ECM into the existing harness under the dash?

Unless you can verify by detailed examination of a wiring diagram that the inside harness is the same on both vehicles (which it probably is not), then you are either going to have to re-pin the inside harness, or go back and get the rest of the wiring harness from the donor vehicle.
