Mult68-
I punched the hole it the runner when i was installing that bolt. I bought the SuperRam used and it didn't come with all the bolts. So i was reusing the stock runner bolts. The face of the bolt was too wide and it ate into the side of the runner (thin part of the runner since its been machined some). I didn't even notice till i ran the car.(Happened on the install on my last engine.)
Ran like crap with that big vacuum leak. It was a dime sized hole!(It went through it like butter.
So i did a cheap silicone patch for then, and now some jb weld is better.
Leirch-
I like it more every time i do it. Let me tell you, after doing it twice in the car, its soooooo much easier with the engine on a stand. It seems to cut down on the cursing and frustration quite a bit!

One more thing maybe you guys can give an opinion on.
I was thinking of painting the lid of the SuperRam black except for the raised bars. So it would match the throttle body.
But as it is it matches the valve covers very well.
I don't want to do it to the valve covers cause i think it will come out crappy. what do you think, do it or keep it this way?

I painted mine like that to match the rest of the engine compartment. Looks fine to me.

Fake87,
Yes, definatly easier to assemble and disassemble with it on the stand. I can't believe they let it past the design phase if you have to remove the rocker arms, could it be a bigger pain?

Oh well. I think a polished superram would top your setup off

Here is mine, I'm still polishing the other unner though.

Nope! I have a new hood that has twin RamAir intakes. Hence two filter. The one on the fender well will be relocated when I get the battery moved to the bed.

The reason it looks this way now is when I went to electric fans, I needed to mount the "Y" section so I could make a new shroud. Didn't want make it to big and find out later that it wouldn't fit.

When it's all said and done, both filter will be located behind the headlights.

Pretty cool. Which hood is that, it's not the Cervini is it? If it is, can you show some pics or email me them. I am looking into getting this hood. Or even if its not, lets see it!

Well...your right about no camaro, wrong on the 4*4, and right on the bed...here's a pic. And I know it's not a 3rdgen , but it does have a 3rdgen based motor in it . So don't trash me too hard......Oh, it's a custom hood. It looks similar to the one that Extreme Composites makes. No pics yet, but I will post when the hood is finished.

Holy Sh*t man! I've been following this post and I've got to say that this is the most gut-wrenching thing I've seen.

Hope you're better. (My father-in-law had the same thing happen, no pins, though... It didn't get to the bone)

*** bless, man! Feel better!

Ouch! Reminds me of when I used to be a meat cutter. My boss was paying more attention to a very short pair of shorts outside the market while he was using the band saw. When he looked down he was minus 3 fingers!

It's a custom piece. I am putting together some sketches of it and acouple similar intakes that I have built. Well, when I get some more use back in my hand that is. I will post here in "TPI" when it's done. And I will also try to get it in the "Tech" section.
