Relocating battery to trunk???
I'm thinking about getting the SLP CAI with dual inlets. I was wondering how you guys relocated your battery. Any tips or suggestions? I was thinking about this box: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...083&part=23454 I'd have to get some cables/wire to run though. A friend said that "You also will want to use 1-gauge welding-cable for your positive wire, the usual cheapo 4-gauge wire isn't enough to start the car reliably when it's that long." is this true? And if I'm getting "welding-cable" would I have to put ends on the cable that hook to my battery, or do they come with some sort of ends? And I run the wire through a drain hole in the back of the car and under to floor pan, right? If you can, any suggestions on where to mount the battery would help, pictures would be great too if you can. You don't experience any kinds of problems relocating the battery that far away? I'm mainly concerned with 1)finding a place for the battery and 2)how to run the wire. Any help would be great guys, thanks.

Yes, you'll want 0 or 00 cable if your going with a mega motor and not having any starter problems. While I go for overkill to make sure things are right, I run a ground right by the battery to the sheetmetal, and run a lead to one of the bell housing bolts. If you go with a Ford Solenoid, and do things right, this is really fool proof.

I used summits kit. It was only like 30 dollars and it included everything except a remote start solenoid. Those only cost like 5 bucks.
