TPI runner question

I have some runners that have some scratches on the inside of the ports. Is there a tool or attachment for the drill I can use to clean up/polish the insides of the ports? I dont have anything that flexible that will work.

Re: TPI runner question

..... theres a ball kit that pops out dents and I would assume smooths out the interior walls. If your just looking to pop out dents then just fill with water and throw in the freezer.

Re: TPI runner question

Someone suggested to me to glue sandpaper to the ac pipe wrap foam. Then run it up n down the holes.

Since your on stock runners, start midgrade paper, and work to finer paper each time. Will take some time, but should do what you want.

That sounds like a good idea if I can find some to fit well.

Yes I have several sets I have fixed with balling and freezing with water and using a propaine torch to heat the dents one frozen then re freeze.

Re: TPI runner question

Easwood Company sells a cylinder head porting kit. It consists of sanding rolls of various grits and a 6 inch long rod that the sanding rolls attach to. I have used it to sand the id of the runners to get rid of scratches. Aother option is go to MSC Industrial supply, www.msc.com, that have ball hones of various sizes. I have also used that to sand the id of the runners.

Re: TPI runner question

Wouldnt spend any money on it unless it really really bugs you scratches wont affect how it runs.

Re: TPI runner question

Scratches aren't going to have any effect on the airflow of your runners.
