I can't seem to find a decent Distributor cap. I tried hypertech's and the terminals are worked its way loose after about 3k miles. I went with some bosch and same thing. Are MSD or Accel caps really worth the money? I'm not interested in buying a new distributor. Just the cap itself.

 

Sounds like the cap is not the problem. Have you replaced the rotor? Bearings in the distributor might be shot too. Something isnt right, and its not the cap.

 

The rotor is an MSD unit and the distributor itself is a remanufactured with less than 100 miles. I guess for $27.00 it wouldnt hurt to get an MSD cap. Thanks for the reply
