as the title says, im looking for a 'snorkel' for the tpi cars...i understand that you can put them in the t/a's? i am very intrigued by this and am hoping that maybe it will add more power too....anyone know how or where to find one? a google search found nothing for me
I see them all the time on ebay. Check the parts for sale section on this site or do a post in the parts wanted section on this site. I would say someone has one to sell on this site.
any idea what they might go for? and anyone know the correct term for this? it was just hearsay that it was called a snorkel, i dont want to go finding a snorkel for a 4x4 or something lol

You can't run a Camaro filter setup on a Firebird/TA.. There is'nt enough hood clearance.
damn!! i was so excited too for this...so what is the difference between the two, i thought they were practically the same car, minus the exterior look....i would have thought htat the radiator/hood clearance would have been the same
The Firebird/TA nose slopes down more than the Camaro reducing the clearance to run that filter setup.
oh i gotcha...is there any other setup other than a cold air intake that i could run? i was also thinking of the dual cold air but that didnt work either due to clearance....any ideas?
I think the only thing availible is the SLP Cold Air or a home made set up. I have the SLP

I had a home made set up with silicon couplers and Mandrel bent aluminum tube with a cone filter. But I had to change to the SLP for CA smog.

oh yeah yeah, ive seen this one...im not a fan of getting rid of my fog lights though...i think what im going to try to do is take out the mount for the old airbox and then try to see if i can get the filter down near the airdam...see if that helps...if its even at all possible without making it look like freddy kruger came in to hack up my car
