code 12

i get code 12 constantly only code 12 will blink and blink past the 3 times i can get my car to idle but not rev or rev very slowly and ideas how to fix this code 12?

Sounds like you have terminals A and B jumpered. That cant be though ...Code 12 comes on in diagnostic mode, when you jumper A& B to check for trouble codes....code 12 means everything is good...Your getting this after the car is started?....no way, impossible

no i have a check engine light on and when i go for the codes all i get is code 12

Then there is nothing wrong...Code 12 is is good(you only want to see code 12 flashing)......No trouble codes are stored in your ECM...If other codes appear other than 12 then there is a problem with one of your engine sensors or a related component

then why do i have a check engine light on even after i clear them it jumps back to code 12

Are you clearing the ECM by disconnecting the negative battery cable? Do you have a scanner connected to the ALDL connector to monitor if codes are present when running? As Crusher stated code 12 is the normal flash code; if you are jumping terminals A & B and the check engine light comes on and the fan runs this is normal. If the check engine light comes on after normal operation and running with your jumper disconnected than there is a problem.
