Also having cold start problems

Guys, I have read the specific topics on this subject, and I have learned a great deal of info. My problem is decidedly different.

I got a 305, with a variety of TPI parts assembled and a harness from FIC. My issue is that when I try to cold start, it will not start, until I squirt raw fuel in the TB. After that it will start as long as it is warmed up somewhat. (Approximately 15 seconds of running.) I got nearly 50 PSI fuel, return line doesnt seem to be blocked, and when I hit the key I DO get a 2 second fuel pump cycle... My system HAS the 9th injector, but my fuel rail has no provision for it. I had assumed the FIC harness (based on a 92 SD type system) had already factored in cold starting. I have harassed FIC enough with my various VSS questions, and such so I dont want to bother him any more...

Can you guys offer advice on what to look at?

Thanks

Re: Also having cold start problems

Is your chip programmed to delete the 9th injector?

Re: Also having cold start problems

That is my assumption, yes. When I recieved the kit, I got a ECM, wiring harness, and instructions. These instructions say that the system is based off a 1992 Chevy Camaro, and that is what I am to buy my misc sensors for. Thus, I have. Could there be a difference in the TPS sensor? I did adjust it to .510 volts with KOEO. I read that is the correct value...

Thanks.

Re: Also having cold start problems

after getting it warmed up and running, i would check your initial timing again.

Re: Also having cold start problems

guys I just heard this:

Is it possible that the flywheel/starter combo spins too slowly??? I have the bigger flywheel, and starter, which do turn slower than the smaller flywheel. :-/

Thanks YL
