Removal of emission control
Hi everyone I was just wondering what emission control crap i could take off of my t/a? Right now i have a 91 ws6 t/a with a 305 tpi and im looking to trade it in for an 83 Firebird for an engine swap im doing. but for the mean time i was wondering if there was anything i could chuck? would performace change for the worse or better? And incase ur wonderin im in pa and emissions exempt cause i keep it under 5000 a year.

if i trade my car in for the 83 what could i take off the 83 t/a? or will it not matter? the 83 is carbed.

The emissions controls are a federal requirement for all street vehicles in the United States, regardless of whether or not your state does emissions testing.
The only thing that might kill some horsepower is the stock catalytic converter. Replace it with an aftermarket one such as Magnaflow, Catco, or Random Technology, and enjoy the cleaner air.
