Wont idle...

speed density 350. 24lb bosch III notmal bolt ons. 477-480 lift cam. nothin much. well the problem is that this damn thing WILL not idle when its cold. i've checked for vacuum leaks more then once. hell i about used a whole can of carb cleaner... its throwing no codes. i've checked the TPS and cleaned and reset IAC reset the comp. it runs great. its just that i have to hold my foot on it to keep it runnin until it warms up. once its warm it idles right at 750 no problems. its just startin to tick me off. so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Wont idle...

My jaded advice is to fire up another doob and try not to worry about it too much. I've been fighting different idle problems for a year on a daily driver. For about 6 months, I had the same problem you have, however my idle was still pretty rough after it warmed up. I had closed and disconnected by IAC to keep the car from surging out of control and dying. I'm in the middle of an injector change now. After that, the only thing I won't have changed is the MAF. It's tough getting help on idle issues on these boards too. There are several similar posts each week, and I think people get tired of looking at them.

Sorry to be a bummer, but its nice to know that someone feels your pain, right?
