300rwhp and up who has it???
Over the time period of being on TGO (had two different names and been MIA because of tour in AFGHAN.) It seems I have missed alot of reading. I once made a post like this one once before and was curious of a head and cam set up to make it possible to make at least 300rwhp and looks like many have done it now. Can anyone happen to tell me what your set up is and the price range that it took in order to make it happen....I feel an itch coming....

Re: 300rwhp and up who has it???
I'm at the 370rwhp mark with a Mike Jones custom 228/228 camshaft, Dart Pro One 200cc heads and a modified TPI system. This is on a 355 cubic inch motor.
I'm currently working on a 370ci motor with AFR 195 Comp heads and a Mike Jones 233/233 camshaft. Same induction setup. Looking to exceed 400rwhp.

Re: 300rwhp and up who has it???
this motor is newly built so no time slips yet. i am getting new drag radials hopefully in a month(it wont hook up otherwise) and i will get some slips up here for you. i would guess off the bottle hooking up high 13's to mid 14's

easily over 300, would have to guess in the 400-440 rwhp range. 406 sbc, afr heads, 11.1-1 compression, forged internals. around 8k to build.

Re: 300rwhp and up who has it???
What kind of compression ratios do you guys run?
I know you get more horsepower with a higher ratio. I got dish pistons to keep my ratio down to 9.6:1 so I could eventually put a Procharger on it if I got boared with the new build. I would of loved 400hp NA at the flywheel, but I think the lower compression will kill that hope.
Are you guys closer to 10:1 or are you closer to the 11:1 mark to get the ~400hp?
I have a 383 w/ Canfield heads, ported TPI, and a pretty decent cam.
At my compression ratio, I'm hoping to get at least what the Scoggin Dicky Vortec-TPI 350 is putting out at 360hp.
