Re: 305 to 350 emissions
About three months ago my lb9 (305) was smogged, he in cali. It passed then I noticed the guy had it set to 350 When I asked him about He clamed it wad the V8 default. I not sure if thats true but if it's so, Maybe NJ the same way. As long as every thing is there & working, shouldn't be a problem. As long as the 350's fairly stock & running good.

NJ law is pretty similar to CA smog law. You can replace an engine with another engine that was offered in the vehicle with no problems. So yes you can replace a 305 TPI with a 350 TPI. I did it 8 years ago with no problems.

Re: 305 to 350 emissions
I did a swap from TBI to TPI on a 305 and had no problems passing emissions in NJ before I swaped out for a 383. I dont know if the 383 will pass but Im not going to find out I went with collector registration.
