Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt w/ 3.42
fuel pump

so i think my fuel pump s weak and dying is there any way to replace without dropping the tank???? any ideas???? how can i test to see what pressure its putting out anyways????

k so im stupid and fuel pressure gauge wil test it but i still need ideas on replacing it if that is what it needs.

just drop the tank its not too hard, only other way is to ct a hole behind the rear seats

yea is not that hard just loosen the two belts that are holding it and you good to go

not too hard? just remove 2 bolts?

its been my understanding you have to drop the rear axel and exhaust? no?

yeah you have to drop the rear end and remove the exhaust from the cat back. i have the same problem with mine right now. the only thing i can't figure out is how to siphone the gas from the tank. i seem to be running in to something in the tank. the tank is full and i can't even touch any fuel.

try to pull the filler neck off at the tank and soo if you can slip your siphon in there. if that doesnt work just get help and or a transmission jack and pull it with a full tank.

yeah i cut the exhaust and tried to drop the tank to no avail because i thought i had like a quarter tank an it was more like 3/4 so i put it back together and cut a hole. turns out the pump wasnt the problem anyways, thanks for the help guys
