I have just installed a combination of a TPIS Big Mouth Intake manifold, SLP siamese runners and C4 Corvette magnesium valve covers with spacers under them to clear the roller rockers. After putting everything together, I have run into a very stupid problem of not having enough room between the valve cover and the runners to squeeze the electrical harness in.

Any recommendations or photos of what was done in similar installs would be appreciated.

I was going to go to the dealer this after noon to see if I can get a 3/4"x1 1/4" oval shaped corregated tubing to replace the round 1" tubing, hopefully something like this is available...

The electrical harness doesn't have to go between the valve cover & runners...

Shove it in or remove the convoluted tubing.

 

There's no reason to not just route them inside the runners where your vacuum line is. Just be careful not to secure them close to the EGR where there's a lot of heat. Thought about doing that to mine the next time I got into it.

 

Well, I've looked just about everywhere and can't find any corrugated split tubing with an oval cross section. It has to be out there somewhere, there is oval tubing from the factory on the car. When the engine harness goes over the tranny (behind the distributor), it's in oval tubing.

I am thinking of just running (2) sets of smaller dia. tubing and stacking them between the valve cover and runners. The driver side may be able to get away with (1) smaller run, but the passenger side has all the starter wiring along with a bunch of other stuff, it hardly fits in the tubing it came with.

I appreciate the feedback, I'd really like to keep the wiring routed as it originally was, and unfortunately, I tried forcing the OE harness in, but it just won't go.

Hopefully the doubled up tubing will work and look OK.
